Information handled by the website

The SquawkForge website does not provide user accounts, accept payments, or run advertising. Our FlightOps information-request form collects your name, email address, school or organization, topic, and optional message. We store these details to respond to your request and manage follow-up. Access is restricted to authorized site administrators. Contact support@squawkforge.com to request access, correction, or deletion. Hashed, short-lived network identifiers help limit automated abuse. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate visits and page performance. Cloudflare states that this service does not collect or use visitors' personal data, and SquawkForge does not use it for individual tracking, advertising profiles, or cross-site tracking.

Like most hosted websites, the hosting and network providers that deliver the site may process standard technical information—such as an IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, timestamps, and security events—to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service. Their handling of that information is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Air Coffee

Air Coffee processes flight plans you import or edit, airport and coffee-stop selections, planning-speed settings, offline trip packs, and cached airport, FBO, courtesy-car, coffee, and timestamped fuel information. Flight-plan files, route geometry, live position, and planning settings remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them. Airport requests are handled as described below.

To download airport information or request a fuel and courtesy-car refresh, Air Coffee sends airport identifiers to SquawkForge. It also uses an installation-specific device identifier and device-validation information to provide access and protect the service. SquawkForge stores device and refresh-request records, including timestamps and status, for app functionality, reliability, and abuse prevention. These records can be linked to the app installation, not an app account. Hosting and delivery providers may process IP addresses and standard connection information. Air Coffee does not require an app account and does not use this information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

When permitted, Air Coffee processes device location and compatible Sentry GDL 90 data on the device to show advisory position context. Sentry traffic is handled on the local network and relayed locally so ForeFlight can continue receiving it; Air Coffee does not send that live flight data to SquawkForge. iOS controls location and local-network access, and you may change those permissions in Settings.

Airport and coffee searches may send a place name, airport identifier, or search area to Apple MapKit. Online coffee lookups may also send airport coordinates to OpenStreetMap search services; these are not your live aircraft coordinates. When you choose to open Apple Maps, Google Maps, or ForeFlight, the requested place, route, or app link is handed to that provider under its own privacy policy. Air Coffee does not use these details for advertising or cross-app tracking.

You can clear downloaded airport data and manage its storage limit in Air Coffee Settings. Clearing local downloads or removing the app does not automatically delete previously retained server records. Device and request records are retained to operate and secure the service; contact support@squawkforge.com to request review or deletion of information associated with your installation. Information needed to meet legal or security obligations may need to be retained.

ColdSoak

ColdSoak stores aircraft profiles, engine and preheater settings, planned departures, manual temperature readings, alert preferences, and cached forecasts on your device. Widget data is shared only with the ColdSoak widget through Apple’s app-group storage. ColdSoak does not use this information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

When you refresh weather, the selected airport identifier or location coordinates are sent to NOAA Aviation Weather Center, Open-Meteo, and Apple location or geocoding services as needed to return the requested forecast, METAR, TAF, or nearby reporting station. When you request an FAA lookup, the N-number is sent to the official FAA registry. ColdSoak reads aircraft and engine fields for setup and does not use owner fields.

ColdSoak offers an auto-renewing annual subscription with an eligible introductory free trial. Apple processes purchases, subscription status, restoration, billing, and cancellation through the App Store. SquawkForge does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple’s handling of purchase and account information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

FAA Registry Monitor

FAA Registry Monitor processes the aircraft registration numbers you choose to follow, the public registration records returned for those aircraft, saved record snapshots, alert preferences, and widget settings. This information is used to display current records and identify changes such as owner, registration status, or expiration.

Monitored aircraft and app settings are designed to remain on your device. The app may transmit an N-number to the public data service needed to retrieve the requested FAA record. FAA aircraft registry information is a public government record and can include owner names and mailing information. SquawkForge does not use registry data to build advertising profiles or determine the identity of the app user.

DI 275

When you enable its features, DI 275 may process device motion, attitude, heading, location, speed, altitude, route information, downloaded terrain data, and aviation data received from compatible equipment over the local network. These inputs are used to produce the supplemental attitude, HSI, route-guidance, and terrain features shown in the app.

Flight and sensor inputs are designed to be processed on the device and are not used by SquawkForge for advertising or cross-app tracking. iOS controls access to protected resources such as location, motion, and the local network. You can change those permissions in Settings.

How information is used

Information handled by the apps is used only as needed to:

• Provide the feature or information you request.
• Save your on-device settings and monitored aircraft.
• Generate widgets, change indicators, and local notifications.
• Receive compatible flight data and calculate app displays.
• Download required public records or supplemental data.
• Maintain security, reliability, and technical support.

SquawkForge does not sell personal information. Current versions of the apps do not include third-party advertising or use data for cross-app or cross-website tracking.

Sharing and third-party services

SquawkForge shares information only when necessary to deliver a feature you request, comply with law, protect users or the service, or complete a business transfer. Depending on the feature, an app may communicate with Apple platform services, FAA or other public aviation data sources, compatible avionics on your local network, and providers that host or deliver SquawkForge services.

Those third parties process information under their own privacy terms. SquawkForge does not give them app data for their independent advertising.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

Information stored only on your device remains there until you remove it, reset the relevant app data, or delete the app. You can remove monitored aircraft in FAA Registry Monitor and can disable location, motion, notification, or local-network access through iOS Settings. Removing a permission may prevent the related feature from working.

If you voluntarily send information in a support request, SquawkForge may retain it only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, keep necessary business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal and security obligations. To ask about or request deletion of information you directly provided, use the Support link on the applicable app’s App Store listing.

Security and children

SquawkForge uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

The website and apps are intended for aviation users and are not directed to children under 13. SquawkForge does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, use the applicable App Store Support link so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the apps, website, providers, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated through the app, its store listing, or another reasonable method when required.
